About The Artist
““Although Earl’s style references the past, her goal is contemporary. She seeks to identify the way gender has been conceived and thereby undermine the social constructions of women as weaker and less significant than the male of the species. Her deconstructive agenda is subtle, without any overt negativity or critical references to ‘toxic masculinity.’ Instead, she looks to historic depictions of the female divine and empowers them with new honorific perspectives.””
Palmer Earl currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California. She has a BFA from School of Visual Arts, NY. She has exhibited in New York and Los Angeles including: Museum of Art and History: Cedar in Lancaster, Torrance Art Museum, Melissa Morgan Fine Art in Palm Desert, and Ceres Gallery in New York. Her work has been reviewed in LA Weekly and she recently had two solo exhibits in Los Angeles.
